Support Services

What makes us different?

A major strength of what I offer schools is the fact that I read widely and often, a full range of quality research and commentary by well known and successful educationalists and academics, especially in the field of quality assessment, teaching and learning. I am skilled at transforming research into action in the classroom, and help teachers and school leaders see what outstanding practice really looks like when it is in full flow. Because the CPD formats are highly interactive, adults feel what it is like themselves to be learners in a challenging but highly supportive environment and thus gain the confidence and the insight to go away and try things out for themselves. THIS is what has the impact. THIS is what makes the visible difference to outcomes.

Support Formats

Before we begin working with you, Inspir.ed will have a thorough discussion to aide in deciding which format will best support you and the staff of your school. We offer a range of formats and will tailor a programme to suit you.

All training is based on quality research and are presented in an interactive and lively way. The aim of the training is to have participants engage with the material, not just to be talked at. Each training offers sound practical advice and ideas that can be taken away and implemented immediately.

In-Service Training

You can choose a half or whole day session for just your school, or in collaboration with other schools. The purpose of these sessions is to ensure that a large number of your team are involved and engaged with the programme of improvement.

The sessions can be stand alone, or linked with Professional Development Meetings to continue, strengthen and support the learning process.

In School Support

This is ‘hands on’ practical support – arranged during the school day. We are able to work either with individuals or groups. This type of support involves regular meetings at the school to help evaluate effectiveness and provide advice and guidance on strategic planning.

We will work alongside leaders, teachers, governors and teaching assistants and help them to develop good practices in their roles. We can use a coaching model, or discuss any number of other models that might be appropriate.

If your school is already judged to be good, this programme is perfect for helping you to be judged outstanding. We provide the tools and strategies that will enable the whole team to excel.

On going support

Jenny also runs a year’s course for groups of teachers who work collaboratively with Inspir.ed, attending 9 sessions in a year where they are trained in new methods. They will then try things out in classrooms as researchers, helping each other improve teaching.

Governors and middle leaders will be provided with copies of and training on a series of handbooks that will enable them operate effectively together as leaders of learning.

Three times per year, Inspir.ed holds meetings in cluster group for heads and deputies to come together to think and talk about the burning issues affecting them. Participants will receive updates on national developments in curriculum, assessment and self-evaluation.
